There is a charging panel with 2 AC outlets, a USB-A port and a Type-C port. The panel draws from a wall socket rather than being a circuit in its own right, so the usual limits on an extension apply.
The socket in a living room is almost never beside the sofa, which is the whole argument for an end table that carries power. Height wants to be within a couple of inches of the sofa arm.
