Structurally it is wooden slats, rated to 1,000 lb.

Built-in power gives you 2 AC outlets, a USB-A port and a Type-C port. What it does is move the socket to where the phone actually sleeps. It does not add capacity to the room. The mattress deck lifts on gas struts, so the entire footprint of the bed becomes one compartment and no floor space is needed at the sides.

Details worth knowing: the slat bearings are damped, which is where bed noise comes from and no box spring is needed.
